​On Dec. 13, 2013 Sarasota County Utilities completed the process of bringing your water and wastewater services into the county utility system.

What phone number should I call for service, questions or emergencies?
What will my water and sewer rates be after the transition?
When will I be billed?
Will there be a change in my water quality?
How can I pay my monthly bill?
I pay through an online bank or payment service. What do I need to do?
Aqua Utilities automatically pays my monthly bill from my bank account. Will this continue?

 Utilities / Water

Sarasota County has approximately 80,000 water connections, 65,000 sewer connections and 3,000 reuse connections. Our water service began in 1975 and includes:
  • Wells along University Parkway (six wells mixed with Manatee County water);
  • Wells on the T. Mabry Carlton Jr. Reserve (including our treatment plant that uses electrodialysis reversal processing); 
  • Venice Gardens well fields (including our treatment plant that uses reverse osmosis processing); and
  • Purchased water from Manatee County and Peace River / Manatee Regional Water Supply Authority.
Sarasota County’s sewer services began in 1988. We have eight wastewater treatment plants.
