 Venetian Waterway Park

This scenic 10-mile trail was developed by Venice Area Beautification Inc. with assistance from the city of Venice and Sarasota County.
  • With five miles of bicycle or walking trails on either side of the Intracoastal Waterway, it connects to The Legacy Trail at the Historic Venice Train Depot, 303 E. Venice Avenue in downtown Venice.
  • The Venetian Waterway Park connects downtown Venice to he Venetian Waterway Park connects downtown Venice to Caspersen Beach Park

The park is home to scrub jays, alligators and bob cats, especially on the southwest side.

 Parking

 
Parking on the west side of the Intercoastal Waterway is located at:
  • Golf Street off of Nokomis Avenue, behind the Venice Little Theatre.
  • At Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
  • East of Airport Avenue, on the dirt road, to the south side of the Circus Bridge.
Parking on the east side of the Intercoastal Waterway is at:

Cross the Venice Avenue Bridge to the east side of the trail and walk from the historic Venice Train Station to Shamrock Park to the south, or head north on the Legacy Trail to Oscar Scherer State Park and on to Palmer Ranch Parkway.
