The15th Annual Sustainable Communities Workshop – "Transitioning to New Ways Forward" – will bring together the community to discuss a variety of up-to-date sustainability topics presented by our expert speakers.
The 15th Annual Sustainable Communities Workshop will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 29 (Thursday), at the Venice Community Center, 326 Nokomis Ave S, Venice.
Building on the success of previous workshops, the 2019 event drew more than 200 attendees to learn vital information from more than two-dozen panelists and speakers, including keynote speakers Josh Tickell, Chris Castro, and Syd Kitson (view the agenda and speaker bios).
Please note that the times, format, and prices of this event are subject to change based on COVID-19 considerations at the time of the event.
Due to uncertainties with event planning during the time of COVID-19, we are planning ahead for the possibility that our annual workshop may require a last-minute shift to a virtual event platform. As of now, we are planning for an in-person event with proper social distancing and safety measures. However, the times and format are subject to change based on COVID-19 considerations at the time of the event, and seating might be limited for any in-person event.
Registration prices vary, depending on whether the event is in-person or virtual, and we ask that you provide a small down payment to reserve your spot. If conditions dictate a virtual event, your down payment will pay for your full registration fee.
Information about the fees associated with sponsoring/exhibiting at the workshop will be announced soon. Please email email@example.com if you are interested in being a sponsor or exhibitor.
