Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) serves more than 6,000 riders daily on fixed routes throughout Sarasota County. Our mission is to provide safe and courteous transportation service in an accountable and timely manner. 

 
Fast facts about SCAT:

  • All buses are ADA-accessible.
  • Each bus is equipped with a bike rack that can hold two bicycles.
  • You can check the status of your bus at https://scattrack.scgov.net/.
  • Every bus has cameras installed for passenger safety.
  • SCAT buses are designated a “Safe Place” for passengers in danger.
  • Additional programs are available for veterans, those who are medically dependent or those who require transportation assistance.
