QUESTION:  Do public utilities (water, sewer, electric) currently exist on the property or are they instead available for connection at the property boundary?

ANSWER:  The two parcels adjacent to Aberdeen Dr. would be able to tie into the existing 6-inch water main along the west side of Aberdeen.  Sewer services could be tied into the 8-inch force main (near the roundabout) via grinder pump stations.

QUESTION: I have been asked to check the title on the property and prepare documents pertaining to this transaction if the bid is successful. May I act as the escrow agent and collect funds for the purchase? The purchaser, if successful, has agreed to deposit additional funds above the 10%. Also, I will be preparing many of the documents for the buyer and lender's side and would like to coordinate with whomever will represent the Seller. Can you tell me who that may be?

ANSWER:  The Contract that is posted on the County’s website discusses the escrow process in Paragraph 3. We cannot approve any escrow agent until a contract is in effect.  The County does not retain outside counsel to assist in the closing for the sale of county owned land.  Additional contingencies, if any, may be added by the bidder in Paragraph 28 of the Contract.  Any approved sales contract will be processed by county staff.
