Advisories to boil water for consumption and minimize indoor water usage to prevent sewer back-ups are issued due to interruptions (i.e., water and sewer line break, scheduled repair and maintenance) to Sarasota County water and sewer service.

Door-to-door contact and advisory door hangers are distributed for outages affecting 50 customers or less. The Everbridge system is used to notify customers, affecting more than 50 residents, of outages regarding boil water advisories and water/sewer service interruptions by phone call, text, and/or email. We strongly encourage everyone to sign up and stay informed.
