Sarasota County Public Utilities brings water and wastewater service to over 110,000 customers throughout Sarasota County, ensuring that the community has access to safe and reliable drinking water and that wastewater makes its way to the water reclamation facilities. Sarasota County is now offering high school juniors and seniors a four-week PAID summer program to explore career opportunities within Public Utilities. The Pathways Program provides a learning experience and insight into the dynamic world of local government. This paid program is a hands-on learning experience that gives a behind-the-scenes look at the important work being done by Public Utilities and can even lead to a full-time job after high school.
