Finding the opportunity that is just right for you or your group event is easy. Just visit the Volunteer page.

Volunteer at Events:

  • National Public Lands Day Saturday September 28, 2019 - 8:30 am - 11:30 am at Shamrock Park and Nature Center, 3900 Shamrock Dr., Venice.

  • To volunteer for this event please visit https://tinyurl.com/PRNR-NPLD; or call 861-5000.

National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort. County staff will work with volunteers to improve and enhance the park by weeding, pruning and removing invasive plants. Volunteers are encouraged to bring hand pruners, work gloves, hat, sunglasses, water, bug spray and sunscreen.  Volunteers should also wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes.
