What is changing from Plan Year 2025 to Plan Year 2026?

Medical Insurance Premium Reduction Program
To qualify for reduced premiums for 2026, the qualification period started October 1, 2024 and must have been met no later than September 30, 2025.
To qualify for the reduced premium in 2027, the qualification period started October 1, 2025 and must be met no later than September 30, 2026.
New Hires in 2026
Employees hired by September 30, 2026 may qualify for the 2027 reduction if they are able to verify that they have met all of the requirements between October 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026. Be prepared to provide dates and locations of exams for verification. Employees hired between September 30, 2026 and December 31, 2026 are not eligible for the 2027 premium reduction.
Requirements for new spouses
Employees who are married prior to September 30, 2026, and are adding their spouse to the medical plan may qualify for the premium reduction if the spouse is able to verify that they have met all of the requirements between October 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026.

Complete the 3D's: doctor (Primary care physician [PCP] physical), dentist, and dermatologist!

Note: The county’s medical plans do not require members to wait 365 days between preventive physical exams.
