Juvenile Justice 12th Circuit Advisory Board
The Juvenile Justice 12th Circuit Advisory Board (JJCAB) is a circuit-wide (Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto Counties) advisory board authorized by the Florida legislature. The board serves as advisors to the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) according to their statutory responsibilities. Members of the board work closely with Delinquency Prevention Specialists and DJJ staff to plan for services that meet the identified needs of juveniles and families within the local community, such as mentoring, teen courts, neighborhood accountability boards, partnership programs, after-school programs and public forums.
