A drive-thru, community-based COVID-19 testing site is available at the University Town Center Mall located at 299 University Town Center Drive Sarasota, 34243. This site was created through a partnership with the Florida Division of Emergency Management, the Florida Department of Health, the Florida National Guard and Sarasota and Manatee counties. This site will support testing for residents in the area, including Sarasota County and Manatee County residents.
Testing will be available for individuals over the age of 18 regardless of symptoms. The test site is drive-thru only. Please limit passengers in the vehicle to those who are being tested, and no more than 5 people. Individuals being tested will not be permitted to exit their vehicle. A prescription is not required and individuals do not need to be Sarasota or Manatee county residents to be tested. The test used will be a nasal swab, once samples are collected they will be sent to a commercial lab for testing and results will be provided as soon as they are available. This testing site is for adults, ages 18 and older.
Testing will take place 7 days per week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, or until capacity is reached.

DOH Sarasota has scheduled two by appointment only COVID-19 testing events in Mid and South Sarasota County August 5 & 6.
DOH Sarasota will have 100 COVID-19 tests available per day, appointments are required as demand for testing is high.
DOH Sarasota is prioritizing COVID-19 testing for anyone who is currently experiencing symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, recent loss of taste or smell) or who works in a health care setting.

Wednesday, August 5, 8 a.m. to noon - Laurel Park, 509 Collins Rd, Laurel, FL 34272
Thursday, August 6, 8 a.m. to noon - Spring Haven Drive (between Heron Creek Middle School and Butler Park) in North Port.
While these are primarily drive-thru sites, DOH Sarasota can accommodate walk-ups, and people on bicycles.
