The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County was founded in 1986 by citizens. As a member-powered organization, the Alliance serves as a platform for the arts, culture, and innovation.
The mission of the Arts and Cultural Alliance is to serve as the source, voice and advocate for arts and culture in our community.

Sarasota County now houses the Spring Training facility for the Atlanta Braves! Located in South Sarasota County, the CoolToday Park celebrated its grand opening in March 2019 and welcomed the Atlanta Braves to their new spring home as they beat the
Tampa Bay Rays in a sold-out stadium.
The partnership between the County and the Atlanta Braves will kick off for its first full spring training season in 2020. Come out and support the Braves in Sarasota County!
Sarasota County has been the long-standing home of the Baltimore Orioles Spring Training since 2010. Located in North Sarasota County, the Ed Smith Stadium offers modern amenities coupled with historical Florida architecture, appropriately remarked as the “Birdland South.”
The 2020 Orioles Spring Training Season offers Sarasota County residents and visitors a rewarding and entertaining way to relax and enjoy the exceptional amenities of the County.
Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI) is the Official Economic Development Organization for the State of Florida. Sarasota County partners with EFI to offer business assistance and to build relations with businesses that have a desire to locate to or expand within Florida. Assistance with finding available properties and quality workforce is provided to create new jobs and instill capital investments within Sarasota County.
The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Muma College of Business aids existing and emerging businesses in Sarasota County. SBDC offers business consulting, information, and training to entrepreneurs in a diverse array of business areas. The Florida SBDC at USF: Sarasota is located at the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) of Sarasota County.

Sarasota County collaborates with the Tampa Bay Partnership as a regional community member. The Tampa Bay Partnership is a regional advocacy group committed to establishing a unified, competitive and prosperous Tampa Bay and surrounding areas.
By engaging influential business leaders and diverse groups of community stakeholders, the Partnership can address critical economic issues and positively impact the region.
Sarasota County takes initiatives and develops partnerships to create a thriving economy with an expansive reach.
Sarasota County partners with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to aid small business owners grow, expand, and recover. The SBA is a cabinet-level federal agency that promotes, supports, and defends small businesses by offering counseling and additional resources for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
SBA disaster and business counseling is available for people and businesses affected by Hurricane Irma in Sarasota County. Some businesses may be eligible for SBA disaster loans as a result of Hurricane Irma.
Visit Sarasota County (VSC) is the official tourism marketing entity for Sarasota County. VSC provides information to visitors regarding things to do, places to stay, and food to eat.
VSC is accredited by the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program and achieves the utmost standards of professionalism, leadership, fiscal administration and ethics.
