The Sarasota County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area. CERT members learn to assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.

Want to learn more about how you can help your community after a disaster?

Join Sarasota County Emergency Management and our local CERT partners Wednesday, Sept. 10, for an Open House at 5:30 p.m. at the Sarasota County Emergency Operations Center, 6050 Porter Way, Sarasota.

At the Open House, we’ll have information on upcoming trainings and points of contact for CERT organizations across Sarasota County.
