A deeply rooted commitment to service
Sarasota County's accomplishments in 2024 reflect our commitments to improving quality of life and supporting infrastructures. Support for these actions was confirmed by our annual citizen survey, which reported satisfaction levels with our service delivery at 97 percent, while the quality of life was rated 98 percent.
The county administrator is the chief administrative officer for the county and is solely responsible for managing day-to-day operations, with the exception of operations in the office of the County Attorney.
The deputy county administrator reports directly to the county administrator and also acts as the county’s chief financial management officer. In his capacity as DCA, he oversees the operations of Capital Projects, Enterprise Information Technology, Financial Management, General Services and Human Services.
The assistant county administrator reports directly to the county administrator and oversee the operations of Emergency Services, Health and Human services, Public Utilities, UF/IFAS Extension and Sustainability, Communications, Libraries and Historical Resources, Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, Planning and Development Services and Transit.
