Road Selection

The Sarasota County resurfacing program schedule is based on a variety of factors and is re-evaluated annually as a part of our budget process.

The resurfacing program priorities are determined by key criteria: the current condition of the roadway surface and base, expected deterioration of the pavement surface from year to year, proximity to other roads being resurfaced, traffic volumes, and most importantly, the availability of  funding. Our goal with the program is to address the most deteriorated roadways first and to coordinate resurfacing efforts with adjacent projects whenever possible.

Note: Roadway segments may have been revised as authorized by the Transportation Department.
