76 Flyer with airplane

76 Flyer

The 76 Flyer connects travelers from SRQ Airport (board at Ground Transportation) to hotels in downtown Sarasota.

It operates from 7am to 8:30pm every day, with the exception of these holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • Plan

Visit the Breeze Rider website or download the Breeze Rider mobile app from the Google Play or App Store.

View a map and schedule of Route 76. The frequency of the 76 Flyer is approximately every 25 minutes.

Standard Fare

The standard fare on the 76 Flyer is $2. Payments must be made in cash.

Discounted Fare

The following passengers qualify for half fare:

  • Seniors aged 65+
  • Medicare cardholders
  • Individuals with a qualifying disability

Waived Fare

  • The first two children aged 5 and under ride free (additional children ride for half fare).
  • Seniors aged 80+ ride free.
  • Wait for the trolley in the outdoor Ground Transportation area at SRQ Airport, or at one of the listed hotel stops.
  • Wait for the driver to open the doors and extend the ramp (if needed). Enter the front doors.
  • Insert cash into the farebox.
  • Keep belongings within an arm's reach or on the luggage rack, and out of the aisle.
  • Respect the solitude of other riders.
  • The trolley will only pull over at designated stops.
What makes this a "touring" route?

This route is focused on visitors who arrive through SRQ Airport and stay at hotels in Downtown Sarasota.

  • There are limited stops.
  • The 76 Flyer is served by a trolley with luggage racks and a nostalgic wooden interior.
Can I pay with a credit card or mobile app?
Breeze accepts cash payments, ride tickets, 30-day passes or Change Cards.
What if I don't have exact cash?
Overpayments will be credited on a Change Card. Change Cards can be used in lieu of cash on a future ride.
Should I tip the driver of the 76 Flyer?
Drivers on Route 76 are employed directly by Sarasota County and are therefore prohibited from accepting tips. Please reward above-average service by sending a compliment to breeze@scgov.net. 
If I miss the trolley, are there other transit options?
Visitors are welcome to use Breeze standard routes 2, 8, or 99 to travel from the airport to Downtown Station (150 N Lemon Ave, Sarasota).
Are the trolleys wheelchair accessible?
Each trolley is equipped with a boarding ramp and one designated wheelchair space.

77 Siesta Islander (formerly Siesta Key Breeze)

Embrace the island life on Sarasota County's open-air trolley! The trolley route connects passengers to downtown Sarasota, Siesta Key Village, award-winning Siesta Beach, South Village and Turtle Beach Park & Campground.

 The 77 Siesta Islander runs from 8am to 10pm every day of the week, with modified hours on these holidays:

  • New Year's Day: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Thanksgiving Day: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • New Year's Eve: 8 a.m. to 1 a.m.

This route is focused on reducing traffic congestion on Siesta Key while providing an easy way for residents and visitors to enjoy local attractions.

  • No fare is charged on this route.
  • The 77 Siesta Islander is served by an open-air trolley that helps passengers fully experience the island vibe.
  • The 77 Siesta Islander operates every day of the year.
Should I tip the driver of the 77 Siesta Islander?
Drivers on Route 77 are contracted employees and have been instructed not to solicit tips. Please reward above-average service by sending a compliment to breeze@scgov.net. 
Are the open-air trolleys wheelchair accessible?
Each trolley has a wheelchair lift and two designated wheelchair spaces.
Can I bring my bicycle onto the trolley?
The trolleys do not have a bicycle rack and bikes are not allowed onboard.

78 Bay Runner

Bay Runner logoSarasota County is delighted to welcome the Bay Runner trolley route to the Breeze transit network! This free trolley is funded by the City of Sarasota and connects downtown Sarasota to shopping, dining, and waterfront experiences at St. Armand's Circle, Lido Beach, and Ted Sperling Park.

The 78 Bay Runner operates from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It has modified hours on these holidays:

  • New Year's Day: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Thanksgiving Day: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • New Year's Eve: 8 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Please note that the Bay Runner service has not yet been transferred to the Breeze Rider app. Download the Bay Runner App to track this service.

Sarasota County is working to transition the 78 Bay Runner to the Breeze Rider app. In the meantime, the route map can be viewed online.

The 78 Bay Runner trolley is free for all to ride.
  • Wait for the trolley at a designated stop. Stops may be marked with a Bay Runner sign or with a Breeze sign labeled for route 78.
  • Keep belongings within an arm's reach and out of the aisle. Respect the solitude of other riders.
  • Pull the cable when approaching your stop. The trolley will only pull over at designated stops.
