Governing Legislation: Interlocal Agreement for School Facility Planning

Purpose: Monitors implementation of the interlocal agreement, including monitoring and evaluating of the school concurrency system. Reports at the annual Convocation of Governments on the effectiveness with which the interlocal agreement is being implemented. School Board staff oversees this committee.

Requirements: 5 members.
  • Includes 1 representative of unincorporated Sarasota County appointed by the BCC.
  • Includes 1 representative of each municipality (City of North Port, City of Sarasota, City of Venice, Town of Longboat Key).
Term: 1 year, may be reappointed.
 
Meetings: At least annually; quarterly, as needed.
