Purpose: The purpose of the Advisory Council is to provide a conduit for citizen input to the Board, regarding contracted human services for non-behavioral health, and to provide advice and make recommendations to the Board on non-behavioral health human services policy, as requested or approved by the Board.
 
Members: 5 members

  • Sarasota County School Board, or a designated representative employed by the Sarasota County School Board

  • Sarasota County Sheriff, or a designated representative employed by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office

  • Health services professional, psychiatrist, psychologist, or behavioral health professional

  • 2 Citizen-at-large representatives
