Governing Legislation: Article II of Chapter 66, Sarasota County Code
 
Purpose: As established by Chapter 66 of the County Code, the purpose of the Historical Commission is to provide assistance, advice and recommendations to the Director on matters pertaining to the preservation and protection of the County's historic resources.
 
Requirements: 10 members

  • Includes one Students Taking Active Roles (STAR) Government representative

Term: 4 years; 1 year for STAR representative.
 
Meetings: Quarterly (September, November, February, May)
