 Brohard Beach and Paw Park

1600 Harbor Drive, Venice, FL 

Brohard Beach is the place to be if you want to share the beach experience with your canine companion. There is an enclosed play yard with watering station near the parking area, and a pet-friendly section of the beach where your dog can swim and romp.
Brohard Beach also offers a 740 foot fishing pier for public use. The pier is complete with restrooms, a snack bar, and a bait shop.  
This park is located in the southern most part of the city of Venice, on the Venice Airport property on Harbor Drive.
No Lifeguards are on duty


  • This site became the responsibility of the county to operate and maintain in 1992 as the result of a dual taxation settlement between the city of Venice and Sarasota County Government.
  • The site was subsequently added to an existing inter-local agreement between the city and county that consolidated certain city owned parks with the county park system in 1978 (city owned, county operated).

Parking is open from 6 midnight.

Directions to Beach

Take I-75 Exit 195 toward Venice/Laurel, merge onto Laurel Road east, turn left onto N. Tamiami Trail, turn right onto W. Venice Ave., turn left onto Harbor Drive S., beach will be on the right.
