SAVE THE DATE now so you do not miss this important milestone in our local effort to build a sustainable community.
Our expert speakers will provide up-to-date information on community strategies and resources as well as best practice from other communities.
Residents, business leaders, institutions, government agencies and organizations will gather to learn from knowledgeable speakers and panel discussions. Topics to be discussed include:
Sustainability in the built environment
Access to local, healthy food
Sustainable Economic Development
This year, workshop attendees will be active participants in group discussions to identify priority strategies for sustainability improvements in the next 10 years. Growing a healthy, prosperous, and resilient community requires participation from everyone to identify and implement innovative and appropriate solutions that support community needs.
Attendees will participate in facilitated discussions on the four workshop topics. Thoughts and ideas for future strategies will be documented and used in the development of a Sustainability Plan, an update to the 2006 Roadmap to Sustainability.
Here’s what some of the attendees had to say about the 2014 workshop:

“Really great workshop. Loved the Keynote speaker.”
“Thanks for a great workshop! Met a lot of great people!”
