Real Property that serves no future use for the county may be declared surplus and sold. There are five methods for disposal of surplus property. These methods are outlined in the County’s Surplus Lands Ordinance and include: Bid Sale, County Sale (Invitation to Negotiate), Private Sale, Exchange, and conveyance to a governmental entity or charitable institution. To submit a bid:
Print and complete the required documentation associated with the parcel.
Then mail or hand deliver it to Sarasota County Real Estate Services by the deadline date posted for that parcel. (No electronic delivery accepted.)
