Osprey Junction Trailhead is a dog-friendly park. Dogs must be leashed at all times (maximum 6-foot-long leash). Dog owners are required to pick up after their dogs.

image of person riding bike on trailThis 10-acre park is located in Osprey at the east end of Bay Street and is adjacent to the Legacy Trail. Sarasota County purchased the property in late 2008 with funds from the Neighborhood Parkland Acquisition Program.

Purchase of this property provided an opportunity to acquire a large parcel adjacent to the Legacy Trail within an area of the corridor that had been identified as a potential trailhead location. The park site includes typical neighborhood park amenities such as a picnic tables/benches, nature trails and parking.
