 Keep Sarasota County Beautiful

Keep Sarasota County Beautiful (KSCB) is a county-wide beautification program that initiates community cleanup projects to help keep our community free of litter.
Locally, our mission is "to enhance and promote public interest and participation in the general improvement of the environment throughout Sarasota County" which is done through education, cleanup programs, recycling and other methods of reducing solid waste.
Cleanup projects can take place in any location throughout Sarasota county that volunteer groups wish to target.
Our organization is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful Inc., a national, non-profit, public education organization dedicated to improving waste handling practices in American communities.

 The 2016 Great American Cleanup!

Keep Sarasota County Beautiful's Great American Cleanup will be taking place on Saturday, April 16 from 8 a.m.-noon at various venues throughout Sarasota County.

As of Wednesday, April 13, 2016, pre-event registration has been closed. Volunteers interested in participating may report to the Sun Plaza (original Pavilion Area) at Siesta Beach or the Concession Area at Lido Beach on Saturday, April 16 to register on-site with the Site Captain and receive complimentary trash bags and gloves.

In case of inclement weather, please use your best judgement on Saturday morning as safety is the number one priority for our volunteers. Since the weather can vary throughout the county,  if there is inclement weather in your cleaning area (wet conditions, lightning, heavy rainfall, etc.), you may choose to postpone your efforts until the rain date on Saturday, April 23, 2016.  If you are working with a group of volunteers, please be sure to advise them of your plans accordingly.
