SARASOTA COUNTY – Sarasota County’s 2025 Water Quality Consumer Confidence Report is online at scgov.net/CCR, and printed copies can be found at county libraries and facilities.

This annual report provides a data-driven, quantified look at the quality of Sarasota County’s potable drinking water throughout 2025. All data included in the report is based on standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).

The report demonstrates that the county’s drinking water quality is in full compliance with all FDEP and EPA standards. Beyond the measured data provided in this report, it also details important accomplishments and changes within Sarasota County’s Public Utilities department within 2025 – including the transition to a new customer information system and opening its first ever customer self-service portal and completing construction on the Bee Ridge Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility. The report serves as a tool for the community to not only learn the quality of their potable water but to also learn more about the team that provides it.

“We are proud to share through this report that our water remains in compliance with all EPA and FDEP standards and to also share the important accomplishments our team has made over the past year," said Public Utilities Director Brooke Bailey. “As this annual report is required across the nation, we encourage everyone - even those travelling into our community - to read it and learn more about Sarasota County Public Utilities."

The report also offers information on a water-tapping competition that Sarasota County’s field operations staff participated in, and it additionally includes the winning submissions from the Florida Section American Water Works Association (FSAWWA) Drop Savers Poster contest, which Sarasota County students participated in again this year.
