CONSTRUCTION PLAN REVIEW, PERMIT AND INSPECTION SERVICES

PROJECT NAME:                 NORTH PORT HIGH SCHOOL HVAC RENOVATION PROJECT
PROJECT LOCATION:        NORTH PORT, FL

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS:
The School District of Sarasota County is accepting statements of qualifications from firms for complete Building Official services, including plans review, permitting and construction inspection services for the North Port High School HVAC Renovation Project.  SCOPE OF WORK shall include, but not be limited to construction of HVAC airside work to include: replace air handlers, new duct heaters/reheat, new exhaust fans, new HVAC controls, and clean/repair existing ductwork; HVAC waterside work to include replace underground chilled water loop with HDPE, replace above ground glycol loop at CEP and add isolation valves throughout; new fixtures in group toilet rooms; new LED lighting and controls; new fire alarm system; repair ceiling grid; replace ceiling tiles; new flooring; new interior paint; partial casework replacement; new signage; upgrade science classrooms; replace exterior doors and hardware; replace glazing in windows that are delaminating; new data cabling; remove exterior lockers and curbs; reconfigure serving lines; new freezer/cooler; new classroom wing addition and portables for swing space.  The total project budget is $101,000,000.  The projected construction budget is $85,000,000.

Applicant must be licensed and certified to perform the work in the State of Florida at the time of application.  Further, if a corporation, the applicant must be registered by the Department of State, Division of Corporations, to operate in the State of Florida at the time of the application.

The selection will be made in accordance with State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF), as may be amended, Florida Statute 287.055, and the School Board of Sarasota County's Selection Policies 7.71 and 7.71a. to provide   The School District reserves the right to select firms based on the qualifications submitted or may elect to schedule interviews with a shortlist of firms.  Interested firms must submit qualifications following the Construction Services Department (CSD) Selection Process for Architects, Engineers and other Professional Services. 

The following information is required:  
    1.  Letter of Interest stating what project is being applied for.
    2.  State of Florida corporate and professional registration certificates.
    3.  Proof of General and Professional Liability Insurance listing Sarasota County Schools as Certificate Holder.
    4.  Resumes of key personnel, demonstrating team qualifications.
    5.  A list of current projects, including three (3) client references including name, title, phone number and project identification. 
    6.  A list of related school experience.

Firms interested in submitting an RFQ for these services must register in CSD's VendorLink Database: https://vendorlink.sarasotacountyschools.net/common/register.aspx and must be Board Approved and listed in CSD's 2025 Qualified Professional List, or this must be in process.  Only these firms will receive a VendorLink submittal/upload instruction notification.
