SARASOTA COUNTY - It's time to clean out the garage and gather discarded household items, yard waste, tree trimmings and other garbage as Sarasota County hosts a free community cleanup in the South Venice area from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025.
Dumpsters for residential customers will be available at the following location:
- South County Courthouse, 4004 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice.
Appliances and car tires will be accepted, with a limit of four 25 inches X 16 inches or smaller tires per household.
Hazardous waste, such as paint, oil, gas, electronics, appliances and computers will not be accepted. Hazardous materials may be taken to the Sarasota County Chemical Collection Center, 8750 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
