PLEASE BE NOTIFIED that the Board of County Commissioners of Sarasota County, Florida, will hold a Public Hearing on August 27, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. or soon thereafter in the Board Chambers at 1660 Ringling Boulevard, Sarasota, Florida, to consider an Unsolicited Proposal Pursuant to Florida Statute 336.71:

Project Name: Manasota Beach Road Extension (West) 

Description: Design, permitting, and construction of Manasota Beach Road from approximately ½ mile east of SR 776 east to the City of North Port limits, pursuant to Florida Statute §336.71.

Estimated Project Cost: $15,000,000

Purpose of Public Hearing: For the Sarasota County Board of County Commissioners to consider whether it is in the public’s best interest to accept the proposal and enter into an agreement pursuant thereto.

This notice is published pursuant to the requirements of Section 126-35 of the Sarasota County Code. Pursuant to County Resolution No. 2022-113, citizen comments are limited to five minutes per speaker. The Chair may modify time limits to ensure due process for all participants.
