Do you know what you need to prepare for hurricane season? Prepare early, plan ahead!
The Sarasota County Emergency Management team will hold a series of free, public presentations at the following dates and times to help residents prepare for hurricane season, which begins June 1. This is an opportunity for the community to meet the Emergency Management team and learn the basics of disaster readiness: have a plan, opt-in to receive local emergency alerts, and prepare personal and family disaster kits. Additional resources to help community members prepare, including the Sarasota County All-Hazards Disaster Guide, and a full calendar of presentations can be found on scgov.net/beprepared.
