Sarasota County public information officers are in the office 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and rotate on-call and after-hours response.

Media outlets may submit queries through email, news@scgov.net, or by phone, 941-861-6397. 

For general questions and information, residents and visitors should call 311 when in Sarasota County, or 941-861-5000 when outside county limits.

SCAT BUS SERVICE UPDATE

SCAT will begin their full service starting Thursday, Sept. 14. 

Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) will continue limited service Wednesday, Sept. 13., as it continues to assist with recovery efforts related to Hurricane Irma.

Wednesday’s service will be identical to SCAT’s regular Sunday schedule, which includes the following routes: 1S, 2S, 6S, 7S, 8S, 11S, 12S, 14S, 15S, 18S, 40S, 215S and 1713S.

Sarasota County paratransit resumed normal operations.
