Parking at Evacuation Centers is limited.

As an alternative to driving a personal vehicle, evacuees are encouraged to carpool with family, friends, or neighbors.
Evacuees may park their cars at Rally Points, then call 311 for transportation from the Rally Point to an evacuation center.
Sarasota County will provide transportation assistance for those who are unable to make other transportation arrangements.

Rules for Your Ride to the Evacuation Center

You will ride in a public transit vehicle operated by Sarasota County or one of its partners.
Other passengers may share your ride.
Baggage is limited to 2 bags per person. Bags must fit on your lap or under the seat. Be sure to review the Disaster Supply Checklist while preparing your belongings.
Pets (cats and/or dogs) must be in a carrier.
The evacuation center destination is selected by Sarasota County staff. Their decision is based on storm conditions, evacuation efficiency, and availability of resources.
