Sarasota County’s Environmental Lands Celebration: A Quarter Century of Acquisition and Conservation. Celebrate 25 years of Manasota Scrub Preserve!
Manasota Scrub Preserve was the first acquisition of Sarasota County's Environmentally Sensitive Lands Protection Program (ESLPP). First acquired on Sept. 19, 2000 we will kick off the 25th anniversary celebration with a guided interpretive EcoWalk highlighting the flora and fauna of the unique ecosystems and the history of Manasota Scrub Preserve. Join us to take a leisurely stroll and learn more about what makes this area so unique and important, the plants and animals that inhabit them, how to be watershed wise and the management issues faced when trying to preserve these lands for future generations.
