UF/IFAS Extension: FMNP SunCoast Friends Beach Cleanup Service Project and Meeting

Free Event

Join the SunCoast Friends of the Florida Master Naturalist Program for our volunteer environmental service project during Beach Cleanup 2019!

We will be at Manasota Beach on Saturday, April 13 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

Join us for cleanup in the dune line, parking lots, and trail areas.

Bags, gloves, & cold water provided.

A limited number of event t-shirts will be available (while supplies last).

Meet us in the parking lot at the tent for sign-up and instructions.

Bring a hat, closed toe shoes, sunscreen and a grabber (if you have one).

Water will be provided, but bring a reusable water bottle to limit our use of natural resources.

2019 is the 21st year for The Great American Cleanup, which engages more than 3 million volunteers and participants, on average, every year.

Our goal in volunteering with Keep Sarasota County Beautiful for this event is to help raise awareness of the importance of protecting our beaches and wildlife through litter removal and elimination and to introduce you to our wonderful group of Master Naturalist graduates.

Cleanup will start promptly at 8:00 am.

For Master Naturalist graduates from Sarasota and Charlotte Counties, we will hold our general membership meeting over lunch at a local restaurant after the Cleanup.

Register early through ufsarasotaext.eventbrite.com to reserve your spot and receive notice of any changes.
