Tree Quest: A Scavenger Hunt for Local Trees

  • Date: -
  • Introduction: Join Sarasota County starting Friday January 18th, for Tree Quest! You will have two weeks to identify five types of trees using the clues listed and available in the link below.

You'll know you've found the right tree if it's tagged with a fact sheet to help you learn more about the great things trees give us!

The trees can be found at:

  • Circus Hammock, 4572 17th. St., and
  • Deer Prairie Creek Preserve South, 10201 S. Tamiami Trail, North Port.

  4. Don't confuse me with a pine tree, but I am evergreen.
  5. I'm a tree that's not really a tree! My leaves are large and fan-shaped.

Deer Prairie Creek South:
