Ethnobotany is the study of how people and plants have interacted for thousands of years. Spend an hour in the classroom for a presentation on the history of plant use in Florida, followed by (weather permitting), a leisurely walk through Lemon Bay Park to identify and explore how native plants of Sarasota County have been used historically for food, medicine, and other aspects of daily life. Register early through to reserve your spot and receive notice of any changes.
