UF/IFAS Extension: 4-H Food Safety Training

UF/IFAS Extension programs provide food for 4-H events, fundraising, concessions and home food safety.

If not properly handled, food provided at concessions can become contaminated, resulting in the risk of foodborne illness.

In order to enhance positive food safety behaviors, this workshop will educate all leaders, members and volunteers working with fundraising events, concessions, club meetings and banquets to learn about safe food handling practices.

Register early through to reserve your spot and receive notice of any changes.

This one-day training session will be held at the UF/IFAS Sarasota County Extension Office for all 4-H leaders, members and volunteers.

The training will follow the SafeStaff ® program materials that are accepted by the Department of Business and Professional Regulations (DBPR).

This class is suitable for ages 16 years and older. Drinks and light snacks provided. Please bring your own lunch.
