UF/IFAS Extension: Sustainable Communities Workshop

The 14th Annual Sustainable Communities Workshop, "Growing Greener Generations," will bring the community together to discuss sustainability priorities.

Our expert speakers will provide up-to-date information on several different sustainability topics.


Residents, business leaders, institutions, government agencies and organizations will gather to learn from knowledgeable speakers and panel discussions. Topics to be discussed and keynote speakers will be announced soon.


Meet our speakers, visit our exhibitors, learn, network, and enjoy organic and local food. Participate in breakout sessions and network with businesses and community groups to help build a better future for our community. Register now to join us at this annual popular and interactive workshop.


Early-bird registration is $35 until Oct. 14. Regular registration is $45 per person from Oct. 15 until Nov. 14. Registration fee includes continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon break refreshments catered by a local green business partner serving fresh, local, healthy, delicious food. The student rate is $25.

The 14th Annual Sustainable Communities Workshop will be on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Girl Scouts of Gulf Coast Florida Event Center, 4740 Cattlemen Road, Sarasota, Fla. 34233.
