Dr. Barnett is a double board-certified cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon. Licensed in both Hawaii and Florida, Dr. Barnett is a certified diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery., Passionately dedicated to restoring her patients to all-around health and wellness, and working gently and methodically to empower them by improving their outlook on life, Dr. Barnett has combined her expertise in the most advanced plastic, reconstructive, hand and micro-surgical techniques with the wisdom of ancient Eastern healing arts to create a new healing vision. Dr. Barnett also owns Mandala Med-Spa and Yoga Shala; an Indonesian-infused medical and holistic day spa which shares the same building as the Sarasota Institute of Plastic Surgery.

Giving back to the community is an integral part of Dr. Barnett's philosophy and commitment to health and wellness. She actively participates in local charitable events year-round with the Wellness Community of Southwest Florida; United Cerebral Palsy of Sarasota; and The Women's Resource Center.

Recycling, energy and water conservation are significant interests of Dr. Barnett. Regularly, the staff evaluates ways to be more environmentally responsible, from efficient lighting choices, to reusing packing materials, to installing low-flow toilets and faucet aerators. The grounds are not treated with pesticides and the low-maintenance landscaping relies on rainfall for water. The facility participates in FPL's “Business On Call" program, which allows them to cycle off their A/C unit for brief periods of time when absolutely necessary.
