2014-G "East West Connector & Overpass"

A publicly initiated amendment proposed to modify Figures 6-9 and 6-10, the Year 2025 Future Thoroughfare Plan of the Transportation Chapter, to add a proposed I-75 Overpass roadway connection between Lakewood Ranch Boulevard and Cattlemen Road, and a second phase extension of the roadway to Honore Avenue.

 

 2015-A "Beachwalk Preserve"

 

Comprehensive Plan Amendment 2015-A (“Beachwalk Preserve”) was a privately-initiated amendment to revise the Future Land Use designation from MEC to MODR on 93 acres, located on South River Road and west of Paul Morris Drive. The amendment is associated with RZ15-12 and an amendment to 89-01-SP (Pine St., Dearborn St,, South River Road Sector Plan). PC recommended approval on February 4, 2016 (5/1 vote). Adopted by BCC on July 12, 2016 (5/0 vote). Ordinance No. 2016-012. Date: (Sept. 12, 2016).

Amendment 2015-B " Winchester FL Ranch"
Winchester FL Ranch - Comprehensive Plan Amendment 2015-B was a privately initiated amendment to revise policies contained in the Future Land Use Plan (Chapter 9), allowing for a residential density increase of up to 1.99 dwelling units per acre for +/- 3,660 acres generally located south of the city of North Port, lying east and west of S. River Road. There are +/- 2,882 acres located within the Future Urban Area, and +/- 778 acres located within the Urban Service Area. The amendment adds new FLU Policies 3.1.13 and 3.1.14.
 
Amendment 2015-C " Palmer Ranch Increment IV A8 and A9"
A comprehensive plan amendment proposed by a private property owner, to revise the FLU designation from MODR and MEC to MEDR. The amendment is associated with Rezone 15-23 and NOPC-4 2015. PC recommended approval on March 24, 2016 (6/2 vote). Adopted by BCC on May 10, 2016 (5/0 vote).  Ordinance No. 2016-021. Effective Date: July 9, 2016. (TD)
  
Amendment 2015-D "LT Ranch Village"
LT Ranch Village – A comprehensive plan amendment proposed by a private property owner, to address a process interpretation by the State DEO, relating to processing. The amendment is associated with RZ15-31.
 
Amendment 2015-F "Grand Lakes"
Grand Lakes 2050 Village “Enclave”– Comprehensive Plan Amendment 2015-F, a privately-initiated amendment, submitted by a private property owner, to revise 2050 Village policy to allow the application of new “Village Enclave” standards to approximately 517 acres on Ibis Road, south of Clark Road. The amendment is associated with RZ16-07.
 
Amendment 2015-G "2050 Greenbelts and Open Space Publicly-Initiated" Sarasota 2050 Greenbelts and Open Space (publicly –initiated) –A comprehensive plan amendment proposed by Sarasota County Planning Services to introduce policy changes that would allow the reduction of the Open Space and Greenbelt Buffer requirements when certain criteria are met. Board authorization to proceed on July 13, 2016.
 
Amendment 2015-H "Desoto Apartments"
A privately-initiated comprehensive plan amendment, submitted by a private property owner, to revise the FLU designation of approximately 18 acres at southeast quadrant of Honore Ave. and DeSoto Road from MEDR to HDR. The amendment is associated with RZ16-16.
 
Amendment 2016-01 "Fox Creek"
A privately-initiated comprehensive plan amendment, submitted by private property owner, to revise the FLU designation of approximately 137 acres at the northeast corner of Richardson Road and Wendell Kent Road from MEC and MODR to HDR. The amendment is associated with RZ16-18.
 
SA 2016-01 "Palm Grove Mennonite"
A comprehensive plan amendment proposed by a private property owner, to revise the FLU designation of approximately 3.2 acres at 1087 Beneva Road, Sarasota from MODR to OFFMF.
 
SA 2016-02 "Cattlemen Ranch Apartments"
A comprehensive plan amendment proposed by a private property owner, to revise the FLU designation on approximately 4.7 acres from MODR to HDR. The amendment is associated with RZ16-03.
 
SA 2016-03 "Stickney Point Road Retail Center"
A comprehensive plan amendment proposed by a private property owner, to revise the FLU designation on approximately 1 acres on the west side of Stickney Point Road, south of Couver Drive, Sarasota, from MEDR to Community Commercial Center.
