Category Pricing |
The fees assessed by Parks and
Recreation, are not based on the individual, group, and/or
organization requesting the reservation/rental. The event or the
purpose of the use shall determine the category. Pricing and
fees shall be based upon the following categories:
Category 2:
- Any regularly occurring,
recreational, instructional, or educational class or
program where the public is invited to participate
- Community Group meetings
to which the community is invited such as
neighborhood/homeowner’s association meetings, community
partner meetings or community recreation group meetings
Category 3:
- Any special event,
carnival, festival or entertainment type of event,
meeting or social activity (parties, weddings,
birthdays, retirements) that is not open to the public
that is utilizing less than 2,000 sq. ft.
- Private education groups
- Church or religious
affiliated groups (Venice Community Center excluded)
- Non-profit /
Not-for-profit (501(c)) groups having fundraising
events that align with the mission of Parks and Recreation
with proof of active non-profit status
Category 4:
- Any type of use for
business or for-profit endeavor to gain publicity,
advertising, or monetary benefit in any degree
- Non-profit organizations
renting facilities for private or non-fundraising
related events.
- Non-government events
that are open to the public - expos, home shows,
tournaments, fundraising events that do not align with
the mission of parks and recreation
- Business and for-profit
uses that do not support the mission of Parks and
Recreation
- Large events, large parties,
large weddings using over 2,000 sq. ft. for public or
private purpose
- Political related
activities such a candidate rallies and fundraising
events
