How Do I
Apply?
The program application can be completed and submitted
online, by mail or with the assistance of the Program
Administrator in person or on the phone. The links are
below. To complete the application you must:

Answer
questions about your eligibility, residence information,
and basic information on energy use in your home.

Complete the
online Florida Power and Light Home Energy Survey, which
requires detailed information on your home energy use
and provides specific suggestions for improvements.

Provide
access to Florida Power and Light electricity use
records for reporting purposes.

Port City Hall, Venice City Hall or Newtown Community
Center.

How to complete the FPL
Home Energy Survey
To complete the
Florida Power and Light Online Home Energy Survey, follow
the steps below. The questions in the survey involve details
about your home’s appliances, air conditioning unit(s),
water heating technology and energy consumption habits such
as temperature settings, use of a fan and cooking
appliances, among other things. Allow between 30-45 minutes
to complete the full set of questions and review the
resulting recommendations for energy saving opportunities in
your home.
To complete the
survey online:

Login or
register:
-
Login: If you have already registered on the FPL
website, click “Login” and enter your User ID and
password when prompted to do so

Register: If you have not yet registered on the
FPL website, click Register, then Register Now and
enter the required information.

You will need to
provide your name, e-mail address, select a User ID
and password and then enter your FPL account number
(located at the top, right-hand corner of your bill)
and the last six digits of the social security
number associated with the account.

Once you are
logged in to your account, click on “Online Home Energy
Survey”, then “Begin Survey” and “Go.”

You will be
directed through a series of questions about your home
and energy consumption habits and then will receive a
report summarizing the recommendations specific to your
home.

Print out that report and submit it with your
application documents as directed in the application.
To complete the
survey by phone:

Option 1:
Call 941-917-0708. An FPL energy expert
asks you some simple questions, and you receive a
detailed report by mail in just a few days. Submit a copy of that report with your application
documents as directed in the application.

Option 2:
Call the Program Administrator at (800) 863-1794 and
they will help walk you through the Online Home Energy
Survey by phone. The Program Administrator will print
out a copy of the report to include in your application
packet.
