Sarasota
County Government values the participation and input of its residents in
making decisions. To further that goal, Sarasota County has over 40
advisory boards and councils, whose members are appointed by the county
commission.
Each advisory board or council focuses on a specific issue or topic such
as economic development, the environment, libraries, and health and
human services. To see a list of the specific advisory boards and
councils, click the Advisory Boards and Councils link to the left.
Individuals who would like to participate on
any Advisory Board or Council will need to attend the Advisory Board
Orientation Class.
Class schedule: TBA
Sarasota County Government also strongly supports government in the

to ensure that the business of its advisory boards and councils is
conducted in the sunshine. Applicants
for membership must complete and submit an acknowledgement that they
have read and agree to comply with the policy.
