Solid Waste Management Citizens Advisory Board (SWMCAB)
Governing Legislation:
- Resolution No. 2007-245 Continuation of the Solid Waste Management Citizens Advisory Board
- Ordinance 2006-001 Article II Solid Waste Collection, Disposal and Recycling
Purpose: To make recommendations to the County Commission on the implementation of the solid waste charter amendment and other matters pertaining to solid waste management.
Composition: The county commissioners appoints nine members to the SWMCAB. Insofar as practicable, the SWMCAB includes:: - a representative from each of the four Sarasota County municipalities
- two representatives from unincorporated Sarasota County
- three at large representatives of Sarasota County
Terms: Three years
Meetings: Second Wednesday of January, April, July and October of 2009
