Metropolitan Planning Organization Citizens' Advisory Committee
Governing Legislation:
Chapter 339.175, Florida Statutes, and U.S. Code Title 23 of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
Purpose: Serves as a review and advisory body to the Metropolitan Planning Organization in the comprehensive cooperative and continuing transportation planning process.
Requirements: - three citizens residing in unincorporated Sarasota County area
- minimum of one handicapped citizen
- minimum of one minority citizen
- four at large members
Term: Three years
Meetings: First Thursday of the month, 7 p.m., at the Metropolitan Planning Organization office.
