Citizens Advisory Committee for Public Transportation
Governing Legislation:
Ordinance No. 2000-034 and Resolution No. 2001-175
Purpose: The purpose of this advisory committee is to provide a conduit for citizen input to the County Commission, sitting as the Sarasota County Transportation Authority, and to make recommendations or provide advice to the County Commission and staff.
Terms: Eight members:
- Seven with three years initially staggered
- One STAR student having a one year term
Notes: Committee replaced the Transit Citizens Advisory Committee
Meetings: At least six times per year
