SHIP Affordable Housing Advisory Committee
Governing Legislation:
Purpose: To review the established policies and procedures, ordinances, land development regulations, and adopted Comprehensive Plan and recommend actions or initiatives to encourage or facilitate affordable housing.
Requirements: The membership must include eleven (11) committee members that are actively engaged representatives of:
- Residential home building industry
- Banking or mortgage banking industry
- Engaged in labor of home building – affordable housing
- Advocate for low-income persons – affordable housing
- For-profit provider of affordable housing
- Not-for-profit provider of affordable housing
- Real estate professional in connection with affordable housing
- Local planning agency member per 163.3174
- One citizen who resides within the jurisdiction
- One citizen who represents employers
- One citizen who represents essential services personnel as defined in Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP)
