Suggested Self-Study Resources
The following are suggested learning options for
self-study when County operations are closed due to an emergency
event. This list is not meant to be exclusive -
individuals and work units may have access to other resources,
especially materials directly related to their field of
expertise, which would be appropriate.
Safety Training
The Safety and Risk Management site currently
contains 22 on-line
Safety Training Modules
(can only be accessed at work or VPN) available to the
enterprise for self-study. These modules include basic
information on the topic along with a quiz.
Department or Job-Specific
Continuing Education
- CEU's to maintain license and
certifications
- Study time to obtain various job-specific
certifications (i.e., Administrative Specialist (IAAP)
certification, building inspector license, etc.)
- Departmental training materials
- Review for job-specific exams

After reviewing a book, tape, DVD, audio CD
or other learning resource, just answer the three questions on the
form and briefly discuss what you learned with your supervisor.
Then forward the completed form to the OD office (interoffice
