Sited on 12 wooded acres, the U.S. Green Building
Council LEED*-registered Gulfcoast Event and Conference
Center is centerpiece of the regional campus.
Workshop participants tour the site's 6.5 acre natural
wetlands habitat via a meandering boardwalk.
Also learn about design principles used in construction
of the facilities.
The U.S. Green Building
Council developed standards for the Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design (LEED) program. The Green
Building Rating System® is a voluntary, consensus-based
national standard for developing high-performance,
sustainable buildings.
