This
historic Italian Renaissance home on the shores of the Phillippi
Creek and within Phillippi Estate Park, was built in the early
1916 and has become an ideal site for art exhibits, private events,
wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Mansion overlooks Phillippi Creek, which is bordered by graceful palm trees and
moss-draped mature oaks.
The mansion
features a large foyer, spacious living room, twin sunrooms with
Palladian windows, as well as a paneled library and gracious
dining room. The second floor has a suite of rooms often used by
brides and bridesmaids to prepare for wedding ceremonies and a
suite for the groom and groomsmen.

Ceremonies
can take place either inside the Mansion or outside on the
lawn. There are several choices of outdoor locations for
ceremonies to take advantage of the creek and park views. There
is also a small arbor near the rose garden that offers excellent
photo opportunities.
Rental
of the Mansion
includes use of the rose garden,
85’ x 16’
terrace, lawn behind the Mansion down to the fishing pier, and
tables and chairs for 120 guests. Additional chairs and tables
may be brought in by rental companies. The home can accommodate 150 guests
for a sit-down dinner.

Amplified
music is permitted,
subject to the Sarasota County noise ordinance.
Alcoholic beverages are also permitted and
caterers may have use of the butler’s
pantry with commercial freezer and the kitchen with commercial
refrigerator.
The Edson Keith Mansion is on the National Register of
Historic Places, and
specific rental conditions and guidelines apply
to its use.
