Voter registration
deadline nears for March 20 Longboat Key General Election |
(SARASOTA, FL) - Residents of the
Town of Longboat Key must be registered to vote by Tuesday,
February 21 to be eligible to vote in the March 20, 2012 Town of
Longboat Key General Election.
New voter registrations must be postmarked by February 21 or
delivered in person to any supervisor of elections office no
later than 5 p.m., February 21.
Supervisor of Elections (SOE) Kathy Dent urges all voters to
verify and/or update their registration information prior to
election day. Changes/updates may be made as follows:
• New registrations and signature updates must be submitted on a
Florida Voter Registration Application (FVRA).
• Name and party changes may be made by signed written notice,
including on an FVRA, but must include the voter’s date of birth
or Florida Voter Registration System ID number.
• Address changes within the state of Florida may be made by
phone, fax or email but must include the voter’s date of birth.
A voter may check his or her voter registration status by going
to the SOE website (www.SarasotaVotes.com). Select “Voter
Information” from the menu and then select “Voter Lookup” and
follow the easy instructions.
Florida Voter Registration Application forms are available at
all supervisor of elections offices, city halls, county
libraries and offices, and social service agencies, and may be
downloaded from the SOE website.
